Home-Based Care
Home-Based Care provides the support and care that adolescents and young adults living with HIV/AIDS need. The Home-Based Care program is an extension of care from the individual’s health facility to the person’s home. This program provides a holistic and collaborative approach which includes the person’s family and community, other health providers, and professionals aimed at enhancing the quality of life.
Phone & Online Support Service
An extension of the Home Based Care program, the Phone And Online Support Service provides additional support and outreach that complements access to the Home Based Care program or provides access to those unable to transition to independent management of their health needs.
Education
Little Birds encourages its adolescents and youth to complete their high school education and continue with extended education through the vocational or university level. Educational sponsorships are available for students who have lost their parents and cannot afford school expenses on their own.
Capacity Building programs
Little Birds provides various workshops and training throughout the year on topics including discrimination, leadership, proposal writing, new medication updates, couseling, psychology, prevention, safe sex, HIV youth issues, HIV workplace rights, and more.
Mixed Status Relationships
This program focuses on helping individuals in mixed status relationships where one partner is HIV+ and the other partner is not to maintain a safe and successful intimate relationship.
Little Mums
Little Mums program promotes the quality of life of young mothers living with HIV/AIDS by providing mothers with education, training and medical support throughout the stages of planning, pregnancy, and motherhood.
